The last week has been a busy one for us! On 4/17, we hosted an online Professional Development Day workshop for around 13 faculty members. It was a virtual version of the workshop we hosted back in February, with online sources that simulated visual impairments, dyslexia and auditory processing disorder. This workshop was very well received by the faculty, and we are looking forward to having the opportunity to do more workshops for faculty in the future.
Today, we hosted a workshop for Social Justice Week. This was similar to the one we hosted on Professional Development Day, but we swapped a couple of the simulations out for ones that fit better for our Social Justice Week workshop. We also had some great discussions about what it is like for those living with disabilities.
